1. 1st June , 2020 – Guftagu Band Na Ho: Peace Activists on Both Sides of the Border Assert People-to-People Relationship, Condemn Siege of Jammu & Kashmir. The event was marked by poetry, singing, sharing of political development in both countries and Kashmir, and expressions of hope and optimism against the atmosphere of fascism.
2. 2nd August 2018 – Pakistan-India Peoples’ Forum for Peace and Democracy (India Chapter), welcome the statement of Pakistan’s newly elected Prime Minister, Mr Imran Khan that his government would “want to improve our relations with India” in the context that India and Pakistan relationship has reached its all-time low.
3. 5th August 2021 – Pakistan India Peoples’ Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) observed 5th August as a black band day to show solidarity with Jammu and Kashmir. It condemned the complete negation of democracy; the continued incarceration of leaders, activists, and journalists; the ongoing militarised occupation of the region; and the complete disregard for negotiation and a long-term peace process to resolve Kashmir’s imbroglio with a call on social media to put up photos as a message of solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
4. 5th August 2022 – Statement from Pakistan India Peoples’ Forum for Peace & Democracy on Solidarity Day. 5th August 2022 marks the third anniversary of the reading down of Article 370 and the partition of J&K. It’s a comprehensive statement as well as a brief analytical report to understand the nature of damage that has been done.
5. 11th August 2022 – Santosh Kohle’s documentary film: _‘Kya Pani Mein Sarhad Hoti hei?’_, on the plight of the jailed fish workers of India and Pakistan. The documentary screening followed by the panel discussion saw the participation of MPs, political leaders, journalists, and also the families of the Fishworkers who have been in jail in Pakistan.
6. 11th December 2020 – On International Human Rights Day, 10th December 2020 an online seminar was organized on the issue of languishing Indian prisoners in Indian and Pakistan prisons. ‘Prisoners of Contention’ was organized by Indian and Pakistani organizations to promote peace in the sub-continent.
7. 12th November 2021 – Pakistan India Peoples’ Forum for Peace & Democracy and National Fishworkers Forum condemned the firing on fishworkers by Pakistan’s maritime security agency that resulted in the death of Shridhar Ramesh Chamre.
8. 18th April 2020 – PIPFPD Chapters of India and Pakistan in a joint letter sent to the Governments and foreign ministries of both countries requested to release and repatriate the prisoners not charged with serious (heinous) crimes during the deadly COVID-19 infection.
9. 22nd September 2018 – Pakistan-India Peoples’ Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) expresses its strong disappointment with the Indian government for cancelling the scheduled meeting of Indian and Pakistani foreign ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
10. 26th February 2019 – Pakistan India Peoples’ Forum for Peace & Democracy (PIPFPD), from India and Pakistan, strongly condemned the Indian air strikes and bombing in settled districts of Pakistan beyond the LoC.
11. 27th February 2021 – Pakistan India People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD), from India and Pakistan, welcomed the agreement between the DGMOs (Director General of Military Operations) of India and Pakistan to observe a ceasefire on the Line of Control and International border from midnight of 24 February 2021.
